Conventional February 14

There is nothing much to say about yesterday's Feast of Saint Valentine (Valentine's day). It was actually conventional but intoxicating. Apparently, V day is not only for couples, but a day to celebrate with family and friends. And so we've been into boys' day out. Jheremy, Patrick, Lester and I considered ours a Valentine's Day but more likely a chilling time in Bonifacio Global City. I was actually shock to see that the place is getting popular to "Jejemons", particularly the High Street. Quite disappointing. The place is losing its sophistication, honestly speaking. 

Don't make fuss about the V day, and if you're single, don't feel dismay. Life goes on, symmetrically, people do come and go too, aforementioned, there's always a precised time for everything.

Dining Experience: Buffet 101 International Cuisine

We've conducted a dining experience related to our subject International Cuisine. And as for a quick analysis regarding the experience, Buffet 101 is probably one of the most ideal restaurants to document its own savory, located in San Miguel by the Bay, Seaside Blvd, SM Mall of Asia.

I thought of the chandeliers to be more enticing tho, than the foods we've seen. It confounded us. Lol!

First things first. Salad should always be an onset before any other loads. It's buffet and eat all you can so it's better to have control.

I just found myself indulging with these little sweets. Ugh! 

I didn't actually know what foods were on my plate. I just grasped them 'cause they were enticing tho. One thing is for sure, they're delectable due to variety of selection detailing a fusion of European and Asian cuisines.

Smoothies like Banana, Papaya and Watermelon are indeed refreshing. Blue lemonade is good for cleansing the palate. 

Finale: Leche Flan, Fruit Pudding, Mini Chocolate Cake, Sliced Choco Roll Cake, and Chocolate Mousse. It's not pretty obvious that I'm a choco loco. 

Sushi contemporary designs and ingredients. I've never been a fan of this Japanese items. I find it stench in taste.

Great time with some of the foodies and critics.....

They really have a wide array of food options that would confuse you what and which to try first. Everything from the presentation to the taste is plain exquisite. The staff were accommodating and attentive. They precisely know what they're doing. The atmosphere is perfect for de-stressing. Their place in Mall Of Asia is quite spacious which is a plus for someone like me who hates crowded places, especially when referring to restaurants. It has an elegant feel that would turn you on. The lighting is nice and appealing. This one nailed it! You can peacefully take a short "break" before you go back for another round.

From the Filipinos who really admire you, we love you Pope Francis! 

Thank you for the heartfelt and emotional visit in the Philippines. It was indeed remarkable and historical. May your teachings and love for us unite each and everyone of us, that we always see the good in our neighbors and fellowmen. Truly blessed and nurtured. God has made you His instrument. We're so inspired with the humility and compassion you've shown to the poor and in need. I can't explain the feeling when I saw you  few meters away from our view, your radiance enlightened us and covered us with love and hope. I almost cry 'cause of too much happiness and there's this unexplained feeling after 'cause seeing you is incomparable and uplifting. I can literally feel you and the ease you give and I feel blessed even afar, until now. All the hardships and jostling in the crowd are worth the while.

Being in the modern and new generation of personage, I must say that we are really lucky to experience this. The crowd who followed and attended all the activities of Pope really amazed me, it's sensational that's why it makes me proud to be a Filipino. Everyone showed unity, from poor to rich, adults to young, they didn't mind the sudden changes of weather just to see the Highness. Have a safe flight going back to Rome. Til we meet again. God bless you Papa Francesco! We'll always pray for you. Mahal kayo ng mga Pilipino!

To all the Filipinos, we've become saints for 5 days so I'm hoping that it won't change now that Pope Francis isn't around. He may not be around but his principles and powerful words will remain in our nation. He really believes that the vitality of the Church relies in every Filipino so let's make it happen. 

Viva Il Papa, Papa Francesco!

You'll always have a special place in our hearts and we know that we have in yours too. 

Thank you Lester for coming along. It was a rough ride and tiring marathon but we made it! We've seen the holiness of Santo Papa! It's fulfilling and unparalleled. :)

The Graphite Skates on Paper

I've been very busy these past few months to update the blog and I started overhauling this December, but to fill up the extensive gap, I've decided to post an entry about my illustrations.

 I usually draw whatever I like, sometimes I illustrate unorthodox and atypical characters from their original figure, sort of curiosity. When you want to imagine your favorite characters in different way you have  to compromise with your curiosity and start creating your own version. Chip some apparel if she or he's wholesome, cover up those liberated characters and the like. That's how I visualize things. I just don't imagine them and encapsulate them inside, I create and reinvent them as well and it's a great feeling to recreate.

Just to end this year with optimism and productivity, I'm gonna share some recreated objects

This is my favorite drawing 'cause putting the strawhat members in one portrait with different facial expressions (which is norm to their disposition) is one crucial part. But when you made it right according to your visualization, the art is sufficient to enjoy.

It's not like seeing Boa Hancock of One Piece in a kimono as conventional, so keeping her wholesome just for one day is pretty much playful, far from her original character as the snake princess of Amazon Lily with a very seductive appearance.

Black Leg Sanji is now a beefcake chef with benign and gentle facial feature. Girls would run after him just to date him out in reverse to the original scene.

Envisaged guy. I guess this is a product of how I want to have his facial features.

Oh well, I haven't practiced my "talent" for almost 8 months and I thought of losing a good skill at 8th degree. You know what they say, practice makes perfect, and for the betterment of your work, practicing everyday is just and genuine for the rigidity of your talent.

PhFW Holiday 2014

I got this e-invite from a friend of mine. He genuinely gave 2 e-invites for me and Meo so we can attend together. Those important guidelines really hardened everything for us. First up is, they'll be needing a valid I.D for the authenticity of the holder. Man! Those e-invites were given by a friend and I don't think that it's a good idea to admit that you're a proxy of the real recipient. Secondly, it's not transferable. Good thing, it has a numbering system, and we've had two invites. The least that I know how to affiliate each other.

But, the main concern was, "Come in appropriate attire." Subtlety, it's a fashion show, and we were aware about the dominant clothing of each individual or guests before we arrived. Everything about them were eclectic and people were encyclopedic. I've experienced the fashion week back then, but I will never get submissive about its own desire for get-up. Visually, they were really odd. It was something so embarrassing for Meo and I, since we arrived with simplicity on us. We actually thought that we weren't belong since everyone seemed so hooked up attending a pre-Halloween party or a "Lady Gaga Monster Ball Tour part 2". Hahaha! So we left the place with introspection about the whole fringe. We just laughed it out and we never wanted to have the eyes on us since we're completely plain and everyone's nailing themselves.

We just had a walk instead and scanned those grotesque people coming in and out. Such a great observation of us. Until we felt the need of food trip and ended up having a 2-hour conversation in Krispy Kreme.

Most reminder : Clothe yourself with extensiveness during such events. No one restrained us to get in, but, it's our very decision to prohibit ourselves in the venue. :)
